maadiissun:

Being lonely doesn’t mean having no one next to you, it means feeling sad at night and realizing you can’t talk to anyone without having the constant fear of disturbing them, its being surrounded by a sea of people and feeling like you don’t even belong with them, or anywhere in the world. Being lonely doesn’t mean having no one next to you, you’re lonely when the person beside you is not the person who’s in your heart.

Friends confession - Ross

massapequalobsters:

There are so many things for which Ross is underestimated.
One of them being the lovely way he created a personal Space Camp for Sarah in “The One Where Rachel Quits” (3x10). Everytime I watch that episode I can’t help but thinking how sweet he is.

image
image

I know that later in the show he became a little bit obsessive and jealous and his charachter changed a lot, but Ross was always the most caring of the Friends. He always did these little things to make all of them happy.

Like when he gave up his chance to appear on Discovery Channel to stay home and help Rachel in “The One with a Chick and a Duck” (3x21).

image
image

Or when he let Rachel win at Poker in “The One with All the Poker” (1x18).

image
image

Or when he escorted Carol to the altar after her parents told her that they were not fine about her decision to marry Susan. And then he also danced with Susan at the wedding ceremony…So sweet. (2x11)

image
image

Or when he gave money to his sister without asking anything in return in “The One with the Prom Video” (2x14).

image

Do we need to mention the time Ross gave his Frankie says relax t-shirt back to Rachel? That is one of the sweetest moments in all the ten seasons of Friends. Classic Ross, as Parker would say. (3x19)

image

Or when he took off his coat at the Museum to sit with Joey, because he cared more about his friend than about stupid divisions between “people in white coats and people in blue blazers” (4x11).

image
image

Or when he made Rachel happy and decided to get out with Emily (even if he didn’t want to) when she wanted to date Joshua (4x14). Incidentally, that’s how Ross ended up meeting his second wife, so that was Rachel’s fault…

image
image

Or when he decided not to date anymore just to calm Rachel in “The One with the Cooking Class” (8x21) [ahw *_*, my lobsters].

image
image

Or when he made the bike as a gift to Phoebe in “The One with All the Candy” (7x09). [Seriously, do you realize how much lovely that was???!!!]

image
image

Again about Phoebe, when he decided to stop playing his music to let Phoebe play again (4x07). Phoebe didn’t want to play anymore because of Ross’s talent (XD), so he made her believe that he’d lost it to convince her to play again. Isn’t that a sign of true friendship?

image
image

And when he DID find Sting’s tickets for Phoebe?! [Rosss caaaaan!] (8x10)

image

Or when he accepted Rachel’s confession that she still loved him, even if he was already married. He behaved so lovely towards her, making her feeling respected and understood, like a real friend. Maybe because he knew so well what she was going through in that moment. Probably also because he knew that he still felt something for her too, but that he was married to Emily. [That is what the thing is.] (5x02).

image
image

As usual, whenever Rachel calls, Ross answers. Even when they are “just friends”. She asks him not to go out with Jill because the idea freaks her out, and he immediately obeys. So caring. (6x14)

image
image

Or when he spoke with Joey about his feelings for Rachel and encouraged him to tell her how he felt. Ross was hurting, and he was afraid that Rachel could reciprocate Joey’s feelings, but he knew that if she was gonna end up with somebody else, she couldn’t find a better guy. I just love Ross in that episode (8x16).

image

I also love the way he helped Joey by giving him all those Art lessons to impress Charlie, even if he really liked her. And later he also convinced Charlie that Joey was worth a shot. (9x21)

image
image

Or when he realized that, even if he felt terrible about it, he really needed to let Joey and Rachel be together. I really loved his conversation with Joey, it shows how much he cares about his friendship with Joey and Rachel’s happiness.
[Joey: Yeah, but, Ross, I mean, you’re not okay with it. Ross: No, but I wanna be. Hey, I will be.] (10x02)

image

Or when he tried to convince Rachel to fight her fear of the swings in “The One with the Home Study” (10x7).

image

Or when he finally made peace with himself and understood that Rachel wanted to go to Paris and he couldn’t do anything to stop her. He knew that he couldn’t live without her, but he stopped being selfish and helped her to decide that leaving for Paris was what she really wanted. (10x15)

image
image

I just love Ross for all these little things and so much more. And I think this is one of the reasons he really deserved Rachel in the end. I don’t care what people say, I don’t care if there is someone arguing that Rachel should have gone to Paris and left him behind.
This is nonsense.
Ross was far from perfect, I know. But he WAS NOT a bad guy at all. And I think that many of the worst things he did during the years were mainly due to fictional reasons - the show had to go on, and the lobsters had to stay “off-again”.
But I’m SO glad they got “on-again”, in the end.
They sooooo deserved it. <3

Honestly the Wonderful Wonderful tour really lived up to its name in every way, it was the most wholesome, heartwarming thing ever.

All nine people on that stage were clearly thrilled to bits and having the absolute time of their lives every night and it makes it so, so fun and so gratifying to watch videos from that tour. You’re watching people who are unquestionably doing what they love and who wouldn’t want to be anywhere else in the world at that moment.

That is so valuable as a fan.

thunderpopcola:

This is how you lose her.

You lose her when you forget to remember the little things that mean the world to her: the sincerity in a stranger’s voice during a trip to the grocery, the delight of finding something lost or forgotten like a sticker from when she was five, the selflessness of a child giving a part of his meal to another, the scent of new books in the store, the surprise short but honest notes she tucks in her journal and others you could only see if you look closely.

You must remember when she forgets.

You lose her when you don’t notice that she notices everything about you: your use of the proper punctuation that tells her continuation rather than finality, your silence when you’re about to ask a question but you think anything you’re about to say to her would be silly, your mindless humming when it is too quiet, your handwriting when you sign your name in blank sheets of paper, your muted laughter when you are trying to be polite, and more and more of what you are, which you don’t even know about yourself, because she pays attention.

She remembers when you forget.

You lose her for every second you make her feel less and less of the beauty that she is. When you make her feel that she is replaceable. She wants to feel cherished. When you make her feel that you are fleeting. She wants you to stay. When you make her feel inadequate. She wants to know that she is enough and she does not need to change for you, nor for anyone else because she is she and she is beautiful, kind and good.

You must learn her.

You must know the reason why she is silent. You must trace her weakest spots. You must write to her. You must remind her that you are there. You must know how long it takes for her to give up. You must be there to hold her when she is about to.

You must love her because many have tried and failed. And she wants to know that she is worthy to be loved, that she is worthy to be kept.

And, this is how you keep her.

Fandom will bend over backwards to paint Chris Evans as a progressive hero when all he does is make fun of Trump on twitter.

Meanwhile, Don Cheadle has BEEN fighting white supremacists on twitter and shows up on SNL supporting trans kids AND throwing shade at Trump

And people said his protect trans kids shirt was just a gimmick and that he doesn’t actually care not knowing he has a trans child who he supports unconditionally. Like the quickness of people to just refuse to acknowledge the work Black people do is just wild.
